The occupiers announced plans for a trial jellyfish catch in the Sea of Azov and foresee their subsequent processing for food and industrial purposes.
This is reported by pro-Russian media.
According to the occupiers, the mass of jellyfish in the waters may reach about 1 million tons. The catch is planned to be carried out in the summer-autumn period using specialized equipment, but which specific equipment is not specified.
Jellyfish are to be processed further for the production of gelatin, collagen and other industrial products. It is also noted that their processing for food purposes is permitted.
