Kherson region remains among the laggards in the number of environmental assessments.
These data were published in a YouControl study.
During 2024–2025, only three environmental impact assessment reports were submitted in the region.
For comparison, 29 cases were registered in the neighboring Mykolaiv region, while Kyiv remains the leader with 279 reports.

Such low activity in Kherson region is directly caused by martial law and the temporary occupation of part of the territories, which has effectively halted the implementation of new large investment projects, the study says.
It is noted that the EIA procedure is a mandatory prerequisite for obtaining construction permits, commissioning facilities, and attracting financing from international institutions.
Recall, the total amount of damage to objects of the nature reserve fund of Kherson region, which were inflicted on the environment as a result of the full-scale war, has already exceeded UAH 1.0016 trillion.
