The Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa changed the preventive measure for Lyudmyla Hrushko, who is accused of collaborating with the occupiers in the village of Mykolaivka in the Kherson region.
MIPL reports.
It is noted that after the prosecution softened the charge from treason to collaborationist activity, on February 2 the woman was able to leave the pre-trial detention facility after paying bail in the amount of 66,560 hryvnias.
Since the new article under part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is considered a non-serious offense, the defendant’s lawyer was able to persuade the court to release the woman on bail. The prosecutor from the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office did not object to this step.
The judges took into account that Hrushko had no prior convictions, has no job or minor children, and that almost all witnesses and evidence in the case have already been examined, so she will not be able to obstruct justice, the article says.
The next hearing was supposed to take place on February 9; however, the defendant did not attend. As the defense attorney indicated, Lyudmyla Hrushko did not travel to Odesa due to icy road conditions and went to the Vinnytsia City Court to join via videoconference. Because she did not notify the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa about this in advance, the Vinnytsia court could not organize her connection, MIPL writes.
The panel of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa postponed the hearing to March 24, 2026.
