The court sentenced former employee of the Northern Correctional Colony No. 90 in Kherson, Svitlana Nakonechna, who during the occupation of the city voluntarily sided with the Russian Federation.
This is stated in the court ruling.
As law enforcement established, since April 2021 Nakonechna worked as a junior inspector in the security department.
In June 2022 she agreed to the proposal of the colony’s occupation leadership and assumed a similar position.
According to the investigation, Nakonechna worked in the seized colony until November 2022, and on the eve of the de-occupation of the right bank of Kherson Oblast she left for another temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
Having examined the evidence, the court in absentia found Svitlana Nakonechna guilty of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
Earlier we wrote that the court confirmed the sentence of collaborator Volodymyr Saldo, having found him guilty of a number of crimes against national security.
