About a hundred vulnerable residents of Kherson received ceramic heaters from the Red Cross after the local thermal power plant went out of service.
This was reported on the air of Vhoru by the head of the regional Red Cross, Larysa Marchenko.
The aid is being distributed according to lists from district councils, focusing on people in vulnerable categories.
After completing distribution in the Central District, the charity workers plan to begin deliveries to the Dnipro District, involving local starosty in the process.
Recall, earlier to Kherson about 500 gas heaters were delivered along with cylinders of liquefied gas.
Before that, in early December 2025, as a result of systematic Russian shelling, the Kherson CHP ceased operations. Predicting restoration timelines is impossible due to the danger to repair crews.
