This was reported on the HCJ website.
It is noted that Pavlenko’s candidacy passed the full qualification assessment procedure at the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and took 16th place in the competition ranking for filling vacant positions in appellate commercial courts. On August 15 the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine declared her the winner of the competition specifically for the position at the South-Western Appellate Commercial Court.
The HCJ noted that it did not find any circumstances that could raise doubts about Nataliya Pavlenko’s integrity, professional ethics, or compliance with the criteria defined by law.
Nataliya Pavlenko was appointed as a judge of the Commercial Court of Kherson Region in 2016. After the end of her five-year term of powers she continued to administer justice and in 2022 was seconded to the Commercial Court of Odesa Region.
The HCJ’s decision means that the final appointment of the judge must be made by the President of Ukraine by signing the relevant decree.
