Law enforcement officers have notified of suspicion of collaborationist activity against Yevhen Korotkov, a native of Rykove in the Henichesk district, who is accused of voluntarily taking a position in an illegal law enforcement body created on the temporarily occupied territory.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
In spring 2022 Korotkov voluntarily assumed the position of acting inspector of the precinct police inspectors’ unit in the illegal Henichesk district police department.
Later the man was transferred to the position of acting inspector of the State Automobile Inspectorate (DAI) in the same illegal body.
Yevhen Korotkov is suspected under part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 12 to 15 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions and possible confiscation of property.
