Representatives of the Kherson region won 2 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals at the Ukrainian Cup and All-Ukrainian junior kayaking and canoeing competitions dedicated to the memory of Olympic champion Yuliya Ryabchynska.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Among the prize-winners are Yuriy Halkin, Oleksandr Syromyatnikov, Ivan Bilous, Albina Yakobchuk and Olena Skvortsova.
In the overall team standings of the Ukrainian Cup, the Kherson region team took 7th place — this is the best result in the last four years.
The competitions took place in Uman and brought together athletes from various regions of Ukraine.
Recall, Kherson paddler Mishel Fesun became a medalist of the Ukrainian Cup and the All-Ukrainian competitions among junior men and women in kayaking and canoeing, dedicated to the memory of Olympic champion Yuliya Ryabchynska.
