Healthcare facilities in Kherson are staffed with medical specialists at 50%.
This was reported on air by the head of the Kherson MVA Yaroslav Shanko.
According to him, the city lacks narrowly specialized doctors — rehabilitation specialists, anesthesiologists, neurologists, surgeons, etc.
“All of this is related to the security factor, since young doctors do not want to undergo residency in Kherson under conditions of constant danger and ongoing shelling,” he said.
Recall, at the beginning of the year there was an increase in funding for emergency medical care in Kherson Oblast. Overall funding for the sector in the region grew by UAH 39.9 million and now amounts to UAH 137.6 million.
At the same time, Russian forces systematically shell the city’s medical facilities. Thus, recently as a result of another attack three medical workers were injured.
