The Security Service of Ukraine has announced suspicion against Kherson resident Lyudmyla Pashkova, who voluntarily headed a seized educational institution in the Skadovsk district.
This is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to investigators, prior to the full-scale invasion Pashkova worked as the head of the base institution “Vadimsky institution of complete general secondary education”. However, in the summer of 2022 she began cooperating with the occupation administration and assumed the position of director of that school, which at that time was under the occupiers’ control.
While in this position, Pashkova implemented Russian Federation educational standards in the territory of the occupied village of Preobrazhenka. She organized the registration of the institution with the Russian tax service, hired staff and ensured the removal of Ukrainian textbooks and symbols, replacing them with Russian ones. She also translated all documentation into Russian and organized the educational process according to Russian Federation curricula.
In addition, Lyudmyla Pashkova forced local residents to send their children to the occupation school. She personally campaigned among parents, intimidating them with possible loss of parental rights and the removal of children in case of refusal to attend.
For this, she is suspected under part 3 of Article 111-1 and part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborationist activity and assistance to an aggressor state).
Recall, MOST wrote last year that Lyudmyla Pashkova had headed the seized school. She was then included in the list of occupation directors who implement Russian Federation educational standards in the so-called Kalanchak MO (an administrative unit of the illegal authority, equivalent to a community – MOST).
