On the left bank of the Kherson region, the occupiers announced the start of voter registration for the so-called “preliminary voting” of the “United Russia” party. This year they plan to hold it in an electronic format.
Pro-Russian media report this.
Registration will continue until May 29 via the Russian portal “Gosuslugi”, and the “voting” itself is scheduled from May 25 to 31. The occupiers also “offer” residents of the liberated right-bank part of the region to join it.
Earlier we wrote that Russia is preparing to hold elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. Voting is scheduled for September 20, 2026.
The first to submit documents for the primaries was the first deputy of the occupation head of the Kherson Regional Duma Olena Dmytruk.
Ukraine and the international community have repeatedly emphasized that any Russian “elections” in temporarily occupied territories are illegal and their results have no legal force. Organizing and participating in such events constitutes assistance to the occupiers and entails criminal liability.
