The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has updated the methodology for the normative monetary valuation of agricultural land in frontline regions. The changes directly affect the agricultural sector, which has suffered significant losses due to the war and the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
This is stated on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
According to the government’s decision, when assessing land they will now take into account the current level of moisture availability, determined on the basis of hydrometeorological data, as well as the consequences of lost irrigation.
The updated methodology will allow land to be assessed more accurately, particularly in the southern regions — Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts, the Cabinet’s website says.
In addition, access to information about land valuation is being simplified. Owners and tenants of plots will be able to obtain extracts as of a specific date. The documents will contain more detailed data about the characteristics of the land and the components of the calculation.
