Two athletes proudly represented the Kherson region at the XXV Deaflympic Games in Japan.

Denys Trehubenko took fifth place in the freestyle wrestling competition in the 70+ weight category.
Swimmer Anastasia Dityatkova competed in several events: she finished fifth in the 4×200 metre freestyle relay, sixth in the 1500 metre freestyle, sixth in the 4×100 metre medley relay, and seventh in the 800 metre freestyle.
Recall, earlier this month Kherson athletes won 11 medals of various kinds at the Kyokushin BuDo championship held in Mykolaiv.
