The court sentenced Kherson resident Natalia Taranets, who worked as the chief accountant at a large corporation that cooperated with the occupiers.
This is stated in the court ruling.
As established by law enforcement, Natalia Taranets held the position of chief accountant and accountant-auditor in a group of companies united under the name corporation “Svarog”.
The association included enterprises such as LLC “AIT-76”, LLC “Retail West-South”, LLC “Demetra Retail”, as well as retail store chains “Vezunchik”, “Green” and “Nectar”.
According to the investigation, the actual owners and managers of the corporation, after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, left for Spain, from where they continued to manage the business.
At that time Taranets lived in Pervomaisk in the Mykolaiv region and assisted in conducting business activities in cooperation with the Russian Federation.
In particular, she controlled the financial reporting of the corporation’s enterprises that operated in occupied Crimea and in the captured territories of the Kherson region, notably LLC “Retail-Yug” and LLC “Dakort-Crimea”.
The investigation found that these companies were integrated into the Russian Federation’s economic system, paid taxes to the Russian budget, and concluded contracts with units of the Rosgvardiya to guard their facilities.
Natalia Taranets ensured the functioning of this structure: she prepared reconciliations with suppliers in Crimea and disposed of the property of controlled firms for the benefit of the occupation regime.
Natalia Taranets signed a plea agreement, so the court found her guilty of collaborationist activities (Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 4 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
She was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold administrative positions for 10 years.
At the same time, the court released the woman from serving the main sentence, establishing a probationary period of 1 year.
