Law enforcement officers have charged Serhii Pyroh with collaborationist activities, who agreed to assume a position in an illegally created occupation authority in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to the pre-trial investigation, no later than April 2024 he voluntarily agreed to take a position in an illegally created occupation authority and became the so-called first deputy head for finance and economics of the administration of the Chaplynka municipal district (territorial unit introduced by the occupation authorities, analogous to a community, – MOST).
The investigation established that, while occupying a pseudo-position in Chaplynka, Pyroh performs organizational, managerial, and administrative-economic functions. In particular, he is responsible for economic and financial matters, participates in the implementation of the aggressor state’s programs and in the realization of its economic policy in the temporarily occupied territory.
Also, according to law enforcement, the man holds meetings with local producers and joins measures aimed at integrating the region into the economic space of the Russian Federation, and also takes part in the propaganda events of the occupation authorities.
The suspect’s actions have been qualified under part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — voluntary assumption of a position in illegal authorities created on the temporarily occupied territory.
Earlier it was reported that law enforcement reported suspicion against two residents of Kakhovka — Oleksii Kravchenko and Oleksandr Makohonyk — in violations of the laws and customs of war during the temporary occupation of Kherson region.
