A serviceman from the village of Orlove of the Kochubeyivska community, Oleksii Spilnyk, returned from Russian captivity.

The serviceman was captured in December 2023 near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
On March 6, 2026, Oleksii Spilnyk was freed from captivity and returned home.
“Our Defender has returned home. This is a great joy for the family, for friends, for the entire community that believed and waited”, – the post says.
Recall that on March 5 and 6, Ukraine and Russia carried out a two-day prisoner exchange, within which representatives of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Naval Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, Air Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, as well as servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and the State Special Transport Service returned home.
During these exchanges, nine residents of Kherson region returned home.
