During the second and final stage of the prisoner exchange from Russian captivity, another 300 Ukrainian servicemen and two civilians were released. Among those returned are servicemen who fought on the Kherson front.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Returned home were personnel of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Naval Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, Air Force, Unmanned Systems Forces, as well as military personnel of the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and the State Special Transport Service.
Among the released are soldiers and sergeants as well as officers. The youngest released service member is 26 years old, the oldest is 60.
Defenders who took part in battles on the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, as well as in the defense of Mariupol, have returned to Ukraine.
The liberated defenders will be taken to medical centers for all necessary examinations, further treatment and medical rehabilitation. They will be provided with necessary assistance, receive documents and due financial payments, the post says.
