In the Kakhovska community on the left bank of the Kherson region, fewer than 10 thousand residents remain.
This was reported to Ukrinform by the head of the Kakhovska MCA Vitalii Nemerec.
Before the full-scale invasion, the population numbered approximately 42 thousand. The majority of people lived in the city.
Recall that recently Ukraine’s ombudsperson Dmytro Lubinets confirmed that in the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky on the left bank of the Kherson region the humanitarian situation is rapidly deteriorating — local residents are facing an acute shortage of water, food and medical assistance.
Despite this, the local illegal leadership does not acknowledge that there are serious humanitarian problems in the city, and asserts that there are no evacuation measures for the population there.
