In the Korabel microdistrict in Kherson, despite the constant drone threat and the lack of basic utilities, about 200 residents currently live there.
This was said during the 2025 year-end press conference by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to available information, Russian drones are detected in the area every 10 minutes.
Due to the security situation and massive shelling of critical infrastructure, there is no electricity or heating there, and water is supplied intermittently. Delivery of humanitarian aid is also complicated.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, evacuation from the microdistrict continues, however local residents refuse to move to safer areas. No mass return of the population to this territory has been recorded, and there are no children among the residents.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, said that with the start of the heating season in Kherson in the Korabel microdistrict it will definitely not be possible to start supplying heat.
Recall that as a result of air strikes on August 2 and 3, the Ostrivskyi Bridge was damaged – the only road bridge that connects the Korabel microdistrict with the mainland part of the city. As a result of the attacks on the bridge, a pipe that supplied gas to the microdistrict was ruptured.
