Law enforcement officers have notified three residents of Kherson of suspicion, who during the occupation of the city held leadership positions in illegally created authorities. It concerns a married couple and their son.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in the summer of 2022 they voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation administration. The suspects took leadership positions in the so-called Department of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kherson Region.
Initially they worked as deputy head of the state supervision inspection, head of the legal and personnel department, and head of the organizational work and IT department, and after the reorganization of the pseudo-structure into a ministry all three received new positions and headed the directions for rural development and water resources, personnel work, and administrative support.
The investigation established that one of them dealt with reclamation issues, participated in meetings, and organized work in accordance with Russian legislation. Another was responsible for personnel selection, employment, and enforcement of labor discipline. The third provided the institution’s economic activities — organized security, supply of resources, and technical operations.
After the de-occupation of Kherson the family remained in the city. Later their activities were exposed by Ukrainian law enforcement.
All three have now been notified of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborationist activity). They are currently in custody.
