The occupying authorities of the Kherson region announced their intentions to establish relations with the DPRK and representatives of the Korean diaspora.
The initiative was voiced by Pavel Kim, head of the association of Koreans of the occupied part of the region.
Currently representatives of the occupation administration are allegedly working on preparing agreements that are intended to lay the foundation for joint activities and the launch of new projects.
During the discussion of the initiative, Kim separately mentioned the participation of North Korean servicemen in combat operations on the side of the Russian Federation, calling it an important factor for “strengthening ties”.
Besides cooperation with Pyongyang, the occupiers say they are ready to interact with other countries, citing the allegedly existing tourist, industrial and agricultural potential of the occupied territory of the Kherson region.
The DPRK (the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) – one of the most closed and militarized countries in the world, located in the eastern part of the Korean Peninsula.
North Korea has become one of Russia’s main military allies in the full-scale war.
