The occupying Kherson Regional Court sentenced a man to 12 years of imprisonment to be served in a maximum-security colony for alleged spying in favor of Ukraine.
This was reported by the occupying Kherson Regional Court.
According to the occupiers’ version, during the period from September to October 2023 the citizen, while on the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, allegedly collected data on the movements and locations of Russian military equipment and personnel.
The information obtained, according to the pseudo-court’s claims, he transmitted via a messenger to representatives of Ukrainian intelligence, and these data were reportedly used to carry out strikes against Russian military forces.
It was previously reported that a resident of the temporarily occupied Oleshky, Serhiy Kotov, who is unlawfully held in Penal Colony No. 10 in the Russian city of Saratov, is in critical condition after suffering torture. In September 2023 an illegal court in temporarily occupied Crimea sentenced the man to 15 years of imprisonment on a fabricated case of alleged “espionage”.
