Kherson businessman Karl Sturen joined a housing construction cooperative in the Odesa region that owed money for land rent.
According to the analytical system YouControl, Sturen became one of the members of the housing construction cooperative “Azimut-S” on April 8.
“Azimut-S” has existed since 2012. The cooperative’s manager is listed as Odesa entrepreneur Vyacheslav Boyko.
In addition, among the cooperative’s members is another Odesa businessman and former director of the “Micron” plant, Vladyslav Vaisman, who previously appeared in a case concerning tax evasion.
Regarding the cooperative “Azimut-S”, since February of this year the Chornomorsk district prosecutor’s office has applied to the court in a case concerning the collection of debt from “Azimut-S”.
As stated in the court ruling, in the period from 2013 to 2015 the cooperative leased from the Dalnytsia village council of Odesa region a number of land plots in the resort village of Sanzhiyka and since then has owed 347 725 UAH in rent. Now the village council wants to terminate the previously concluded agreements and recover the debt through the court.
Recall, Karl Sturen – a Swedish-Ukrainian entrepreneur and honorary consul of Sweden in Ukraine.
In February 2025 it became known that the Deposit Guarantee Fund began the sale debts of Sturen for 2 billion UAH. However, Sturen tried in courts to recover 2.5 billion UAH from an insurance company.
In June 2025 he headed the Austrians’ lavender business with a Ukrainian background at LLC “Lavanda Terminal”.
At the beginning of July 2025 he became a founder of LLC “Industrial Chemistry Park” in the city of Zhovti Vody. A co-founder of this park is Yuriy Yuriyovych Boyko – the son of a pro-Russian MP. According to sources, Sturen has long had close relations with Boyko Sr.
