The Kherson City Court has issued a verdict for the accountant of the occupying administration’s Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Olha Vasylieva.
This is stated in the court ruling.
As the investigation established, in the summer of 2022 Olha Vasylieva accepted an offer from representatives of the occupying administration and assumed the position of chief accountant of the illegally established Kherson Regional Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
She was responsible for overall management of the material and economic departments, payroll calculation and disbursement, and obtaining funds from financial institutions.
During the investigation, law enforcement officers found copies of the order appointing Vasylieva to the position, lists of employees where she was listed as the chief accountant, documents bearing her signatures, and so on.
Witnesses also confirmed Vasylieva’s cooperation with the occupiers. One of the witnesses, who also worked at the seized institution, said that she contacted Vasylieva to obtain information from the archive, since Vasylieva was the person responsible for the archive.
In addition, the chief accountant of the Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology who worked there before the occupation said that Vasylieva approached her asking to provide employee lists as well as tariff lists to obtain information about positions and salaries.
After reviewing the case materials, the court in absentia found Olha Vasylieva guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 5 of Article 111‑1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment without confiscation of property.
