Athletes from Kherson won two gold and three silver medals at the Mykolaiv Oblast open mixed martial arts championship dedicated to the memory of fallen soldiers.
This was reported by the Youth and Sports Department of the Kherson City Council.
The competition took place April 17–18 in Mykolaiv. Kherson and the club «Kherson Budokan» were represented by seven participants aged 10 to 17.
Gold medals were won by Timur Nechevilov and Ivan Krasnopeyev. Silver medalists were Rostyslav Dotsenko, Artem Nikulin and Oleksandra Susoyeva.
Oleksandr Kolotiy and Pavlo Baluda also took part in the tournament and gained competitive experience.
Recall, representatives of Kherson region won 2 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals at the Ukrainian Cup and national competitions among juniors in kayak and canoe racing, dedicated to the memory of Olympic champion Yuliya Ryabchynska.
