Athletes from Kherson region took prize places at the Ukrainian Winter Championships in athletics throwing events.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The competitions were held in Kyiv at the Olympic center «Koncha-Zaspa». Pupils of the Kherson School of Higher Sports Mastery showed strong results in the hammer throw.
Candidate for Master of Sport Nataliya Ovchinkina won the bronze medal. In her best attempt she sent the hammer to 49.44 meters.
Mykyta Brahinets won the championship, taking “gold” with a result of 61.06 meters. Now the athlete is preparing to represent Ukraine as part of the national team at the European Cup in athletics throwing events.
Earlier we wrote that 21-year-old figure skater from Kherson Kyrylo Marsak finished his performances at the Winter Olympic Games, finishing 19th in the men’s singles.
