The occupiers sentenced a resident of temporarily occupied Kakhovka, Iryna Hedzyk, accusing her of alleged spying.
This was reported by the occupation prosecutor’s office of the Kherson region.
Vryna Hedzyk was found guilty by the occupiers and sentenced to 10 years in a general-regime penal colony.
The occupiers claim that in the period from October 2023 to May 2024 Iryna Hedzyk, while on the territory of Kakhovka district, allegedly collected information about the movements and locations of Russian military equipment and personnel.
According to the occupying security forces, she passed the collected data to Ukrainian intelligence via a messenger.

Recall that the abduction of Iryna Hedzyk by the Russians became known in July 2024. The woman was kidnapped from her apartment, where searches had been carried out shortly before, after which her laptop, phone and all documents disappeared.
Earlier, in April 2022, during a peaceful rally in Kakhovka Russian military abducted Iryna’s husband, Yurii Hedzyk. After some time he was released.
