The occupation governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo said that the region is allegedly interested in developing cooperation with Afghanistan.
He said this to pro-Russian media.
In particular, Saldo noted, “the region is ready to export agricultural products” to that country.
In August this year the illegal authorities said that grain yields in the region are 2.5 times lower than expected.
At the same time, agricultural products from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are being taken out by Russians to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as to Vietnam, India and China.
In addition, last year the occupying authorities said that seven “Russia-friendly countries”, expressed interest in purchasing food wheat from Kherson region. It was also reported that flour from the left bank of Kherson was wanted to be exported to countries of Asia, Africa and the Arab world.
However, alongside this, the occupiers note that in some settlements of the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region there is a shortage of subsidized bread.
