Kherson Oblast will receive UAH 97.5 million to prepare for the next heating season as part of regional resilience plans.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
In total the government allocated UAH 12.85 billion for initial works to prepare for winter. The funds will be directed to 209 critical infrastructure facilities in frontline regions and Kyiv Oblast.
Of this amount, UAH 3.5 billion is allocated for the protection of 24 high-voltage substations, and another UAH 9.4 billion — for the construction of protective structures for distribution substations and other critical infrastructure facilities.
The funds will be used to protect energy facilities, develop distributed generation, and to ensure uninterrupted heat and water supply.
The total funding need for such measures across the country is estimated at UAH 278 billion.
