Serviceman from the Kochubeivska community in Kherson region Serhii Bolkun has been awarded the state award “Cross of Combat Merit”.

Junior Sergeant Serhii Bolkun carried out combat missions in the Sumy region and took part in the Kursk operation.
As head of a demining group, the serviceman detected and neutralized more than 70 anti-tank and anti-personnel explosive devices. In May of this year, as a result of detonating an anti-personnel mine he suffered a serious wound, but after treatment he returned to the front and continues to carry out missions, the report says.
Earlier MOST wrote that the defender Vasyl Zubov from Bilozerka, who was killed in the war, was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.
