President Volodymyr Zelensky commented in his Telegram on the Russian strike on a children’s hospital in Kherson.
As the head of state noted, it was a deliberate strike.
“They could not have been unaware of where they were hitting. This is a deliberate Russian strike specifically against children, specifically against medical personnel, specifically against the basic guarantees of life in the community”, – wrote Zelensky.
As a result of the Russian shelling, the medical facility suffered significant damage; medical workers and children who were being treated were wounded. The youngest injured child is eight years old, the report says.
“At the moment of this strike, about a hundred people were in the hospital, and Russia is not even ashamed that it considers such facilities a target”, – added President Zelensky.
As a reminder, on October 29, 2025, at about 09:20 the Russian army shelled a children’s hospital in the Dnipro district of Kherson with artillery.
So far, there are 9 people wounded, among them four children and three medical workers.
Recently the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of the Russian attack a 36-year-old woman and a 15-year-old teenager also sustained blast-explosion injuries and concussions.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, called the shelling of the medical facility in Kherson by Russian forces another war crime.
