The Government of Ukraine has expanded the war-risk insurance program, increasing the amount of financial support for businesses operating under wartime conditions. The main focus is on frontline regions: the maximum compensation for damaged or destroyed property has now tripled — from UAH 10 million to UAH 30 million.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
In addition to increasing the limits, the procedure for obtaining assistance has been made more lenient. In particular, the restriction under which the amount of payments was reduced if an entrepreneur had previously received state grants has been removed. Businesses were also given the right until May 1, 2026 to amend already submitted applications: to increase the reported amount of losses or to add objects that were previously affected.
The changes also affected premium insurance. The maximum amount of compensation in this area was raised to UAH 3 million, and the application submission period was shortened — you can apply for support already one month after the contract is signed.
In the first months of 2026, the post says, payments totaling more than UAH 166 million were confirmed for entrepreneurs.
The program is administered by the Export Credit Agency as part of the state strategy “Made in Ukraine”.
