On the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, the Russians plan to deploy a network of 40 visual observation posts to combat Ukrainian drones.
Ukrinform was told this by the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
According to him, personnel of the so-called volunteer Cossack units Bars-33, Don, Dnipro and Konvoy are being relocated to the areas of the settlements Tarasivka, Pryvitne, Vynohradove, Oleksandrivka and Yuvileine. These formations, which are now subordinated to the Russian 18th Army, are to detect Ukrainian drones that attack Russian facilities.
At the same time, the spokesman assured that the Defense Forces have been informed about the plans to create the mentioned mobile enemy observation posts, and Ukrainian units will accordingly destroy them.
Recall that at the end of January 2026 it became known that the occupying forces were forced to withdraw from Oleksiyivskyi Island, which is near Oleshky in Kherson region.
