In the Kherson community, the heating season has ended for subscribers with centralized heat supply.
This was reported by the head of the city military administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
According to him, this heating season was the most difficult since Ukraine’s independence due to constant Russian attacks on the city’s energy infrastructure.
As a result of the shelling, the CHP was shut down, and it was also impossible to start the boiler house in the «Korabel» microdistrict.
Despite this, heat supply was ensured thanks to the work of municipal workers and the support of partners. For residents left without centralized heating, thousands of electric heaters and gas convectors were distributed, and heating points were also set up.
According to the city military administration, during the work five employees of «Khersonteploenergo» were injured.
The city administration noted that preparations for the next heating season have already begun. In particular, partial decentralization of the heat supply system and strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure facilities are planned.
Recall, the government is allocating 97.5 million UAH for priority measures to prepare the Kherson region for the next heating season.
