At Kherson State University the new structure of faculties has been officially approved. From July 1, 2026, instead of eight faculties the university will operate five enlarged educational hubs.
This was reported on Facebook by the university rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyy.
According to the approved decision of the Academic Council, the following will operate at Kherson State University: the Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Arts; the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Work; the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences and Mathematics; the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Sports; and the Faculty of Business and Law.
Earlier the university reported that the structural changes are a response to the difficult working conditions during the war, the loss of part of the student body, and the limited material and technical base.
Two faculties – Business and Law and Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, Journalism and Arts — had already undergone reform.
