Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina, originally from Kherson Oblast, repeated the longest winning streak of her professional career — 14 consecutive matches — and reached the final of the WTA 125 tournament in Dubrovnik.
This was reported by Suspilne Sport.
In the semifinal Kalinina defeated Slovenian tennis player Tamara Zidansek. The Ukrainian won the first set 6:0, lost the second 4:6, and in the decisive third set she managed to seize the initiative and bring the match to victory.
This victory was Kalinina’s 14th in a row — it equals her personal record set in 2021. During this streak she has already won two titles at tournaments in Antalya.
In the tournament final the Ukrainian will play against Spaniard Andrea Lázaro García. The match is scheduled for today, March 29.
Recall, in December 2025 Angelina Kalinina reached the final of the WTA 125 tournament in Limoges, France, defeating in the semifinal the top seed — Spanish player Cristina Bucsa.
She later suffered a defeat in a Ukrainian derby against Daria Snigur in the qualifying of the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
