The court handed down a verdict against Kherson resident Oleksiy (in the court registers he is called Oleksandr, – MOST) Malonkin, who headed the occupation administration in Ivanivka of Henichesk district.
This is stated in the relevant court verdict.
The investigation established that in the summer of 2024 Malonkin agreed to the occupiers’ proposal and became the acting head of the so-called Ivanivskyi municipal district (a territorial unit introduced by the occupation authorities, analogous to a community, – MOST).
Already in November of the same year, by decision of the illegal local council, he was officially confirmed in the position of head of the occupation administration.
In this position Malonkin, ensuring the operation of the illegal authority, in particular, held meetings with subordinates, met with residents of the occupied villages, and publicly acted as a representative of the Russian authorities.
Law enforcement found evidence of his guilt in open sources and propagandistic media resources, where reports about Malonkin’s activities and photos from his official meetings were regularly published.
Having examined the case materials, the court in absentia found Oleksiy Malonkin guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with confiscation of all property, including a Toyota Camry car and a plot of land in Oleshky district.
Oleksiy Malonkin worked side by side for many years with the former head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andriy Gordeev, who left the country last year.
In 2016 Gordeev, while a member of parliament, was able to obtain a subsidy for the repair of the stadium on Ostriv. And for this he asked the mayor of Kherson, Volodymyr Mykolayenko, to appoint Oleksiy Malonkin as director of the communal institution “Sport Development”, which oversaw the stadium.
In 2015 Malonkin ran for the Kherson City Council from the “European Solidarity” party – at that time it was called the Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity” – but he was not elected.
In 2021 he became a member of the Council of the Kherson regional organization of the pro-Russian party “Ukraine – Our Home” of Boris Kolesnikov, which was controlled by Andriy Gordeev.
