The first stage of the “Teacher of the Year – 2026” competition has concluded in the Kherson region. Educators from various communities of the region took part, competing in four categories: “English language”, “Civic education”, “Mathematics” and “Primary education”.

Among the winners of the regional stage — seven educators from the Kherson City territorial community.
First-degree diplomas were awarded to: Oksana Myasnykova (Lyceum No. 20) — category “English language”; Nataliya Sudakovska (School No. 55) — category “Civic education”; Olga Kruzhylova (Lyceum No. 31) — category “Mathematics”; Anastasia Kidenko (Lyceum No. 52) — category “Primary education”.
They will represent Kherson region at the national stage of the competition, which will take place in April–May 2026.
Second-degree diplomas were awarded to Yuliya Komyagina (School No. 32) in the “Civic education” category and Svitlana Sypita (School No. 39) in the “Primary education” category.
A third-degree diploma in the “Mathematics” category was won by Viktoriia Kolomiets (Gymnasium No. 3).
Earlier it was reported that Snizhana Timoshina, an English and German teacher at Kherson Lyceum No. 1, received a Goethe-Institut scholarship.
