In the Kherson region, law enforcement are investigating the abduction, torture, and murder of a clergyman that occurred during the occupation.
This was reported by the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Oblast.
According to the investigation, on the morning of February 13, 2024, Russian military in the settlement of Kalanchak abducted from his home a 59-year-old local resident who was a priest.
Subsequently, according to law enforcement, the man was tortured and killed.
The police are collecting evidence and identifying witnesses or eyewitnesses to the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to report it via the special chat-bot @Warcrimes_Police_KhS_UA_bot.
Recall, the police are investigating the shooting of a 55-year-old resident of Novooleksiyivka by Russian forces in the summer of 2025.
