Investigators of the National Police in Kherson region have announced suspicion against Kakhovka resident Serhii Vostrikov, who became a so-called deputy.
This was stated in the notice of suspicion on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, in September 2023 Vostrikov took part in illegal elections to the occupation council. He ran for the so-called council of deputies of the Kakhovka municipal district from the Russian pro-government party “United Russia”.
After the fake vote, Vostrikov received a mandate and joined the work of the occupation body. In particular, at the very first session he was elected chair of the commission that oversees issues of legality and deputy ethics.
In addition, during 2025 Vostrikov regularly held personal receptions of citizens in Kakhovka. During these meetings he advised residents on obtaining payments from the Russian Federation and engaged in propaganda.
Vostrikov’s actions are qualified under part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborationist activity). He may face 5 to 10 years of imprisonment.
