Prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General changed the charge against the deputy occupation head of Henichesk, Leonid Haidar.
This is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, prior to the full-scale invasion Haidar lived in the city of Henichesk and was acquainted with the deputy of the Henichesk district council Andriy Klochko. After the occupation began, Klochko became the occupying acting head of Henichesk, after which he offered Haidar the position of his deputy.
Haidar agreed to the offer and helped to create the occupation authorities – participated in forming their staffing, managed subordinates, and contributed to the occupation of the region.
In May 2022 Haidar took part in a meeting where matters concerning the need to establish occupation authorities and appoint their leaders were discussed.
Leonid Haidar is suspected of collaboration with the aggressor state (Part 6 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as of voluntarily holding, as a citizen of Ukraine, a position in an illegal body (Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Note that since May of this year the court has been considering the case of Leonid Haidar concerning collaborationist activities. The next hearing of his case is scheduled to take place on December 10.
