In the Kherson region, a resident of the region, Roman Nazarov, who held the position of the so-called head of the Malokakhovka territorial administration of the occupation administration, was sentenced in absentia. He was given the final punishment — 11 years of imprisonment.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The court found the man guilty of manufacturing, distributing and publicly using symbols of the communist totalitarian regime. For this crime he was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
At the same time, the court took into account a previous sentence — in May 2025 he was already sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for collaborationist activities.
Earlier we wrote that Nazarov took an active part in propaganda videos.
The fact of Nazarov’s cooperation with the Russians was also confirmed by witnesses. According to one witness, Nazarov voluntarily worked for the occupiers and during meetings with people presented himself as the head of Malokakhovka.
In addition, in May of the same year the Russians awarded him “For active work in preserving historical memory as part of the project ‘Faces of Victory’”.
Thus, the court partially merged the sentences and handed down the final verdict — the prison term now amounts to 11 years.
Recall, the SBU detained a woman in the Kherson region who prepared and sent emails to state institutions that questioned Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
