The government renamed and changed the status of the Novoraisk community, which is located in Beryslav Raion of Kherson Oblast.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the corresponding order on 25 March.
According to the document, the community officially ceases to be an urban-type settlement and becomes a rural one. This decision makes adjustments to the overall list of communities in the oblast, which has been in effect since 2020.
The changes also affected the administrative center itself. Now, in official documents, the settlement Novoraisk will be designated as a village.
Note that a settlement is considered a populated locality with a total population of at least 5,000 inhabitants. A village is a populated locality with a total population of fewer than 5,000 people.
