On March 12 at 19:00 an online premiere of the film «I Shout About Krynky» will take place on the YouTube channel «Suspilne Novyny». On TV screens the film will appear on April 8 at 22:00 on the air of Suspilne’s First Channel.
This is reported by Suspilne.
The documentary project from the «Suspilne Chernihiv» team tells about women who are searching for their relatives who went missing during the Defense Forces’ operation on the left bank of the Kherson region. In addition to the families’ stories, the film includes accounts of marines who managed to get out of the fighting in Krynky.
The author Iryna Melnyk met the heroines during a prisoner exchange in July 2025. The inscription on the women’s T-shirts — «I Shout About Krynky» — became the film’s title.
Filming took place in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia Oblast and Switzerland. The «Suspilne Mykolaiv» team joined the recording of interviews with military personnel.
During filming in Geneva, the team handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross the lists of 175 missing servicemen prepared by the public association «Krynky. The Way Home».
According to official data, the battles for the bridgehead in Krynky lasted from October 2023 to the summer of 2024. During that time 788 Ukrainian servicemen went missing, and 262 deceased were evacuated from the battlefield.
Earlier we wrote that as part of the March exchange a fighter who went missing in the Krynky area, returned from Russian captivity.
