In the Kherson region, 6 underground educational institutions are already operating.
This is stated on the website of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.
Also, 14 medical facilities in the region are operating in shelters.
Currently, regional authorities are considering the possibility of building underground power plants, which is the only solution given the daily Russian attacks.
At the same time, the region is implementing “green” energy solutions, equipping schools, hospitals and water supply facilities with solar panels to operate during power outages, the post says.
