The Kherson City Court in absentia found the occupation-appointed head in the illegal administration of the Novofedorivske starostynskyi district of Skadovskyi Raion, Valerii Sidorchuk, guilty of collaborationist activity.
This is stated in the court verdict.
According to the investigation, Sidorchuk no later than August 2022 assumed the position of the so-called head of the administration of the Novofedorivske rural settlement of the Holoprystan municipal district (a territorial unit introduced by the occupation authorities, analogous to a community, – MOST).
Evidence of his guilt included testimony of local residents, documents and publications in Russian media that confirmed his performance of administrative functions in the occupied territory.
Sidorchuk’s actions were qualified under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as collaborationist activity.
The court sentenced Sidorchuk to 9 years of imprisonment with a 14-year ban on holding positions in bodies of state power, local self-government and at state and municipal enterprises, as well as confiscation of all his property.
Earlier it was reported that the Kherson City Court sentenced the late deputy head of the occupation administration of Kherson region Kyrylo Stremousov on four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
