Kherson entrepreneur Oleksiy Levchenko, who repairs vehicles for ХОКАРС, set someone else’s car on fire.
This is stated in the ruling of the Kherson City Court, which is published on the EDRSR website.
As stated in the ruling, in August this year Levchenko poured an unknown liquid on a BYD FLYER belonging to a Kherson resident and set it on fire with a lighter, causing damages of UAH 62.9 thousand.
For this Levchenko was charged under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional destruction of another’s property committed by arson.
In October, a plea agreement was concluded between Levchenko and the prosecutor.
“According to the content of this agreement, he undertook to unconditionally admit his guilt in committing the criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to the extent of the charges in the court proceedings; to assist in the consideration of the criminal proceedings”, – the ruling says.
The court approved the agreement and found Levchenko guilty. He received 3 years imprisonment, but was released from serving the sentence, with a probationary period of 1 year. He must also pay the state UAH 62.6 thousand for engaging an expert.
Note that, in addition to the fact that Oleksiy Levchenko works as development director of the network of LLC “Smartlab” and is the head of the Kherson private enterprise “Zhuravushka”, he is also registered as an individual entrepreneur and periodically receives contracts for the repair and maintenance of transport for Kherson budgetary institutions.
