Transport links between Kherson and other regions may expand.
The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine reported the results of a meeting of the competition committee, where more than 30 interregional routes were reviewed, the Center for Transport Strategies reports.
Most applications concerned front-line routes, among which a key place is occupied by the restoration and expansion of the Kherson region’s connections with neighboring cities. In particular, carriers submitted requests to operate on the routes Херсон — Mykolaiv, Odesa — Kherson and Kamianske — Kherson.
According to Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach, this competition became fully digital: carriers submitted applications through electronic accounts until December 19, 2025.
Currently the ministry is preparing the relevant order, after the signing of which carriers that meet all requirements will be able to officially begin services.
