Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 39 481 crimes against peace, the security of humanity and the international legal order have been recorded in the Kherson region.
This was reported on the website of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the office, almost all proceedings concern war crimes provided for by Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Another 9 proceedings were opened under Art. 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — for waging an aggressive war.
It is noted that just last year 10 677 such crimes were registered.
In total, investigators have informed 94 people of suspicion, and courts have already handed down 28 guilty verdicts concerning 29 individuals.
