Kherson City Court handed down a sentence in the case of Kherson native Yaroslav Tyuplyayev, who during the occupation of the city voluntarily assumed the position of deputy head of the legal work department of the illegally created Tax Service of Kherson Oblast.
This is stated in the text of the court decision.
In this position Tyuplyayev headed a subordinate unit and handled the legal support of the activities of the fake body. His guilt is confirmed by appointment orders found during searches, the staffing structure of the occupation service, and witness testimony.
The court found Yaroslav Tyuplyayev guilty of committing the crime provided for in part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In addition to the principal term of imprisonment, the sentence provides for the full confiscation of all property belonging to him. The convict is also prohibited from holding any positions in state authorities, local self-government bodies, and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine for a period of 15 years.
Tyuplyayev was born in Kherson and lived in Mykolaiv.
Until 2021 he headed the legal department of the Kherson Regional State Administration. Earlier he was deputy head of the Main Department of Justice in Kherson Oblast on matters of the State Enforcement Service.
Tyuplyayev is a lawyer, registered with the Bar Council of Mykolaiv Oblast.
